where and how to report a crime.

The SDCCD Dispatch center is state of the art and centrally located in Mission Valley. The Dispatch center is the heart of the police department and the life line for officers in the field. Dispatchers screen all incoming calls and route them accordingly. They also monitor all the intrusion and fire alarm systems throughout the district. It is a very demanding and important job.

There are seven dispatchers, one lead dispatcher and one dispatch supervisor running the dispatch center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Each dispatcher possesses a California State P.O.S.T. certificate and attends 24 hours of updated training every two years to keep their certification current.

Currently, we have openings in the Dispatch center. Click here for more information.
