Under the
direction of the Administrative Sergeant, the Sexual Offender
Registration Unit of the College Police Department has
jurisdiction under California Law (Section
290.01 of the Penal Code) to register sex offenders who attend or work at the San Diego Community College District. Every
person required to register under Section 290 of the Penal
Code (see section 290.01 for exceptions) must register in
person with the College Police Sexual Offender Registration
Unit. The Sexual Offender Registration Unit works with the
California Department of Justice Sexual Habitual Offender
Program and the San
Diego County Sex Offender Management Council.
Members of
the San Diego Community College District may schedule an
appointment with the Sexual Offender Registration Unit to view
information on the sex offenders registered at their facility.
