Charles Hogquist

Chief
Hogquist had a 28 year career with the San Diego Police
Department attaining the rank of Lieutenant. During his
career he worked in the Patrol, Traffic,
Investigations, Administration, Communications and Special
Events divisions of the police department. His last
assignment was as the service area Lieutenant for the
Ocean Beach, Point Loma and Old Town communities of San Diego.

Chief
Hogquist grew up in the Bronx, New York, earning his
Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College of City University
of New York, and graduated from the University of San Diego
Law School with a Juris Doctor degree. He was an Adjunct
Faculty Member at Miramar College where he taught Criminal Law
and was an instructor at the Regional Law Enforcement Training
Center for 18 years.

Chief
Hogquist was also an integral part of the San Diego
Police Department teams that coordinated the 1998 and 2003
Super Bowls in San Diego. As a result, he was
recruited by Ridgeway International--the NFL’s
Transportation Coordinator--as a Traffic Management Consultant
and worked at the last three Super Bowls in that
capacity.
Chief
Hogquist has resided in the Clairemont community of San Diego
for 24 years and is involved in several community
organizations. Please join us in welcoming him to the
