SDCCDPD Officers

Sergeant Jordan Mirakian started his law enforcement career with the San Diego Community College District Police Department on May 20, 1998. Originally from Orange County, California, Sergeant Mirakian comes to us with 10 years of law enforcement experience both at the San Diego Community College District and San Diego State University. He returned to the San Diego Community College District on August 31, 2007, after five years at San Diego State University, where he was a field training officer, sexual assault investigator and a Corporal.

Sergeant Mirakian has been recognized by different local, State and Federal law enforcement agencies for his involvement in narcotics enforcement, criminal investigations, undercover operations and crime prevention seminars. He is involved in the community and has represented the San Diego Community College District in the annual Teddy Bear Drive, "Shop With a Cop", and through the STAR Police Athletic League as a baseball coach for kids in East San Diego.
In his free time, Sergeant Mirakian is actively involved in athletics not just as a coach, but also as a football player with the San Diego Enforcers Football Team, a tackle football team comprised of police officers and firefighters in San Diego County and nationwide who play for charity. On a personal note, Sergeant Mirakian enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, his friends, and at the beach with his two Labrador Retrievers.

Sergeant Mirakian is looking forward to his new assignment saying, "I am very excited to be a part of this family, this organization, and I am looking forward to continuing my career here as a Sergeant."

SDCCPD Officer Receives CCUPCA Award of Merit

In April 2008, Officer Jeffery Rabine received an Award of Merit from the CCUPCA( California College and University Police Chief's Association).

 The Award of Merit is presented to any person affiliated with educational law enforcement who by their act or acts, tangibly and conspicuously further the cause of educational law enforcement by outstanding or superior conduct. The performance of such act or acts shall be motivated solely by the desire to benefit the educational law enforcement community without thought of personal gain.

Officer Rabine was nominated because of his work on active shooter training, his safety coloring book for the Child Development Center, his  contribution to Disaster planning project and his work with City College’s mental health task force.
