All campuses of the San Diego Community College District operate in compliance with Government Code section 7597 (see below). As required by this law, City College, Mesa College, Miramar College and the Continuing Education centers will not permit smoking within 20 feet of main entrances to buildings, exits, or any operable windows.  In addition, smoking is prohibited inside all public buildings.

SMOKE-FREE CAMPUS:
Mesa College is a "Smoke-Free Campus". This means as of January 1, 2007 that smoking is prohibited anywhere on campus. Those who choose to smoke must do so outside the campus perimeter. 

This sign is posted in several areas on the grounds of  Mesa College to inform the public that it is a smoke-free campus.
