Jeanne Clery Act Crime Statistics
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act is the landmark
federal law, originally known as the Campus Security Act, which requires colleges and universities across
the United States to disclose information about crime on and around their campuses.
The San Diego Community College District Annual Security Report titled, "Safe and Sound, A Guide to
Safety and Security in the San Diego Community College District", includes statistics for the previous
three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property
owned or controlled by the San Diego Community College District, and on public property within or immediately
adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus safety such as policies on drug use,
crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault and other matters. You may obtain a current copy
of this report by contacting any campus admissions office, Vice President of Student Services office or
college police business office. The current copy may also be viewed by using the link below.
